TECHNICS SU-8080 INTEGRATED AMPLIFIER & TECHNICS ST-8080 TUNER The legendary Technics SU-8080 Integrated Amplifier and ST-8080 Tuner from the late 1970's. Rare opportunity to pickup both the Amplifier and Tuner in one hit. They just don't build them like this anymore and the sound is just awesome in a way that Hi-Fi was back then for those of you who remember. The amplifier has integrated phono stage for MM and High Output MC but as with any amp would recommend an external dedicated phono stage. The Tuner is excellent and is recognised as one of Technics's best Tuners. I had these connected to a top current spefication LP12 via a Tom Evans Groove+ Phono stage and the sound was just awesome. A few very minor scuffs here and there but overall cosmetic condition is absolutely excellent and close to mint! The amplifier and Tuner is in full working order and I have cleaned the rotary switches with a spray of switch cleaner some of which were previously crackly but are now mostly fine.
